SERENA GORDON - Gorge & Fall Camps IG: @serenabg

Professional cyclist Off-Road adventurer, Lover of Coffee and Chocolate

Serena Gordon has been racing professionally for more than a decade. Specializing in gravel and mountain bike racing, she is a great descender and understands the importance of the details when it comes to off-road performance. Serena has twice finished 2nd at the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder, taking two stage wins in 2021, and was among the top female pros at FireCracker 50 and Leadville 100 in 2021. She even took the overall win (beating all the men) at this year’s Ochoco Roubaix. She has been on the podium at Rebecca’s Private Idaho Queen Stage Race, Lost & Found Gravel, The Rad Dirt Fest, Carson City Off-Road, Marathon Mountain Bike Nationals, and countless other events. Serena lives in Bend with her husband, Ben, and medium-sized pup, Piper, and loves her morning coffee almost as much as she loves riding her bike. She is stoked to share what she knows with others and elevate women in the sport of gravel racing!


SARAH STURM - Gorge Camp IG: @sarahsturmy

Bike rider, Racer & adventurer. Living in the mountains of Southwest Colorado


Sarah is a bike rider, racer and adventurer living in the mountains of Southwest Colorado. She has been on the top step of the podium of BWR, Leadboat, The Last Best Ride, and took the win at the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder in 2021. She also had podium finishes at The Rift, Colorado 2 Utah Gravel and the Leadville 100 MTB in 2021. In addition to coaching, mentoring and shredding around town with my dog Norman, she works to balance the outdoor activities with a side career in art and design. Most importantly though, Sarah is an amazing human being. She has also been known to finish an entire package of oreos in one sitting.


JANEL SPILKER - Gorge & Fall Camps IG: @janelspilker

Liv Ambassador, Multi-team US National Team member Adventure seeker


Janel Spilker raced professionally from 2008-2015 on the road claiming the 2011 NRC title, wins such as the Cascade Classic and Joe Martin Stage Race, and around the world on the Champs-Élysées, in the women's Giro and the World Championships Team Time Trial. After retiring, Janel kept her wheels firmly planted in cycling and started her business, Janel Cycling, which focuses on cycling camps and coaching athletes of all levels. Janel took retirement from the road as an opportunity to spend more time having fun off-road and scooped up 3rd place at Dirty Kanza 200 (now Unbound Gravel) and won Crusher in the Tushar in the process. Working closely with Liv and Giant, as well as organizations such as the Michael P. Nosco Foundation and COTA, Janel hopes to help more people fall in love with bikes. Janel's recent relocation to Bend, Oregon means more time on gravel and dirt aboard her Liv Devote & Pique 29!

Yuri Hauswald grew up on a farm in rural Petaluma, CA without a tv, which meant he spent plenty of time outdoors roaming the hills looking for adventure when he wasn’t doing his ranch chores. After a successful collegiate career playing lacrosse for UC Berkeley, and armed with a degree in American Literature, Yuri discovered the joys of mountain biking while teaching English at a prep school in Pennsylvania, and hasn’t looked back since. A former two-time solo winner of the 24-Hours of Adrenaline and 9th place finisher at the 2006 24-Hour World Championships, Yuri’s crisscrossed the country seeking out his next two-wheeled trip. He turned pro at the tender age of 36, won the 2015 Unbound when he was 44, and is currently obsessed with everything gravel.

Professional cyclist Smart on and off the bike Journalist, mother of twins ​

Sarah is a professional cyclist, journalist, and mother of twins. After a successful career as a world-class nordic racer, Sarah turned her athletic sights on gravel cycling and took the racing community by storm; she has been taken top honors at BWR, podiumed at the Unbound 200, Oregon Travel Gravel Grinder and Steamboat Gravel, among many other national level races. This year, she is racing the LifeTime Grand Prix and is sure to turn heads! In addition to cycling, Sarah works at Morgan Stanley Research, helping analysts, strategists, and economists share their ideas with a global audience.



EVELYN DONG - Fall Camp IG: @evelynd11

Endurance athlete, bike mechanic, dog mom Lover of whiskey, coffee, cold creeks, and the smell of sage


Evelyn started her endurance career as an elite level Nordic skier, dabbling 50k trail runs and afternoon mountain bike rides. She quickly discovered her love and ability on the mountain bike and made the transition from snow to trail - quickly finding success at any off-road event she lined up for. Evelyn loves to climb, and descend, and smiles no matter what the terrain throws her way. Evelyn has won more mountain bike and gravel races that we can count on our fingers and our toes, competed on the World Cup MTB circuit, stood on the USA Nationals XC podium numerous times, is a current contender in the Lifetime Grand Prix Series.


KAYSEE ARMSTRONG - Fall Camp IG: @kaysodip

Endurance athlete, bike mechanic, dog mom Lover of whiskey, coffee, cold creeks, and the smell of sage


A seasoned professional long-distance mountain bike racer (who also sometimes races cyclocross, enduro, XC, gravel races, etc), Kaysee joined the Trail Squad as part of Liv's pro team alongside Serena Bishop Gordon to complete the 2018 Absa Cape Epic. Liv's pro team acts as mentors to the rest of the Squad while training and racing for this epic challenge.
